1) Fit
Custom Shirts Fourteen individual measurements. Collar size, band height, sleeve length for each arm, tail length and more are all made just for you to the 1/4 inch. There are no precut patterns. Your shirts are custom tailored to your exact size and build.
Ready Made Shirts Two Measurements. Collar Size & Sleeve Length.
Collar size only made to the 1/2 inch. Example: 14, 14 1/2, 15, 15 1/2, etc..
Sleeve Length only made to the 1/2 inch or made in a "combination sleeve length" of 32/33 or 34/35 etc...
The taper of the shirt varies from every shirtmaker and no guarantee it will fit the same the next time you buy one.

Custom Shirts Your choice of a variety of collar, cuff, and pocket styles. You get to style your shirts any way you like.
Ready Made Shirts You settle for whatever collar, cuff or pocket there is.
3) Selection
Custom Shirts You select from over 500 Shirt Fabrics, with over 30 different blue solids alone; including a larger selection of finer fabrics like long staple cotton twills, jacquards, voiles and fancy weaves. All 100% 2 Ply Long Staple
Egyptian, Pima, & Sea Island Cotton.
Ready Made Shirts You choose from maybe a dozen shirts you might consider or are in your size. No telling how they fit yet.
4) Quality
Custom Shirts Complete single needle construction; Hand cut, hand made collars, Extra long shirt tails, Full sleeve placket facings; Pockets, cuffs, and collars matched by hand to the shirt pattern; Details found only in the very finest shirts.
Ready Made Shirts
Usually made with double track seams, standard patterns with machine die-cut collars, shorter tail lengths; mass production, the priority there being volume not attention to detail.
